Social Listening- Elon Musk vs. Twitter

I have decided to analyze Elon Musk and his proposal to buy out Twitter, a social media site. As you probably know, Musk owns the company Tesla, an automotive electric vehicle and clean energy company based in Austin, Texas. I am not a huge fan of Musk or Tesla but rather an avid twitter user and have noticed some red flags amid Musk's discussion upon buying Twitter.
The value proposition of Twitter is simple. It allows people all around the world of different backgrounds and nationalities to communicate and share everything including news, culture, and lifestyle- having an audience reach lightning fast speeds. Musk plans to make Twitter a "platform for free speech around the globe". Twitter has stricter rules and have adopted those over the years due to manipulation of elections, the spread of health misinformation, and the harass of people in masses.

The Washington Post article "Opinion: Let's Hope Elon Musk Doesn't Win His Bid For Twitter" written by the Editorial Board, informs the public of their concerns with Musk's intentions after buying the social media site. With Twitter creating a stricter environment on its site, it has tried and almost successfully  stopped the spread of misinformation on its site, which Musk plans to erase creating a "free speech" environment for its users. "A boarded backtracking would be an error. To protect speech at all costs and keep twitter free of bots and spam, as Musk said he would like to do, is almost impossible." states the time. But Musk's recent comment on this topic is "I am not sure I will actually be able to acquire it."
CNBC's article "Twitter Board Adopts 'Poison Pill' After Musk's $43 Billion Bid to Buy Company" written by Lauren Fiener explains the a way to fend off a potential hostile takeover by diluting the stake of the entity eying the takeover. And in a TED talk earlier in the week Musk "laid out his vision for making Twitter's algorithm motor publicly accessible and limiting content moderation."
Brian Stelter from CNN showed two tweets by David G. Rand in the video "Why Conservatives Are Embracing Elon Musk's Twitter Move". The first one explains how Republicans/conservatives are substantially more likely to spread misinformation/fake news than Democrats. The second tweet states "bi-partisan demand for reducing misinformation, which platforms may enforce on conservatives more than liberals.

The aspects of marketing in this post is that even if Elon Musk does or does not but Twitter, there is attention given to musk and twitter, both raising their views and stocks on either companies.
